A Blog About Reading and Books
I told myself at the beginning of 2011 I would want to start my book and blog this year. Here it is December 22, 2011 and I’ve started! I love books, I love to read, and I have strong opinions, so why not combine all of the above into a blog about reading and books, right?
Mostly, I read fiction and I love reading children’s and young adult literature. I work with elementary students and tutor in reading. I remember when I was in elementary school, waiting for the next Sweet Valley High book or Babysitter’s Club book to come out, borrowing books from my friends, and talking about those books over lunch. Working with my students, It’s rare that I see a love for reading my friends and I had. So, I’ve decided that I’m going to do what I can to bring that back…one student at a time.
